Immigration System Statistics is published quarterly (February, May, August and November) by Home Office and covers returns, foreign national offender returns, asylum claims and decisions, asylum support and accommodation, detention, small boats, entry clearance visas, settlement and citizenship. This page lists the headline figures only; the full series and interactive charts are on the linked dashboard pages below, which were refreshed against this release on 27 August 2026.

Data Limitations & Caveats
- Provisional figures. Rows marked [p] in the source tables are provisional and are revised in later releases. The year ending June 2026 figures on this page are provisional; calendar 2024 and 2025 remain provisional too, which is why the 2025 total on this site moved from 39,371 to 39,722 with this release.
- Returns basis. The headline "returns" figure is enforced plus voluntary returns, matching the Home Office’s own headline definition. People refused entry at the border who subsequently departed (18,646 in the year ending June 2026) are a separate series and are never added into the headline.
- Revisions. Every figure above was reconciled against the Home Office’s own Ret_01 and Ret_02a summary tables before publication; all years agree within the rounding tolerance of the detailed datasets.
